The National Directorate of Consumer Rights last Monday closed the ‘Sanvis By Tani’ showroom in Gulshan for allegedly selling Indian and Pakistani clothes at a higher price.

The company Sunvis by Tani bought wholesale clothes from on Elephant Road also closed. Company Name: Lakhani Group.
On Wednesday (May 15), the Department of Consumer Affairs raided the Aroma Auction Shopping Complex on Elephant Road and sealed the premises. The campaign was led by Deputy Chief Abdul Jabbar Mondal.
Earlier, last Monday,
The “Sanvis by Thani” showroom was raided. The facility was sealed by police after they carried out a special operation on Plaza Market accused of cheating by selling desi clothes in the name of Pakistani clothes.
The next day (Tuesday), the owner of the company came to the office and said that the so-called Pakistani clothes had been bought in bulk from a company called Lakhani Collection. Then, on Wednesday, that establishment was raided.
During the raid,
Lakhani’s group could not produce any import documents or cash notes to prove that their clothes were Pakistani. There is not even information about where the clothes were purchased.
Some cash tickets are available for other clothing stores, where the name and address of the establishment is not indicated.
In these crimes,
an order was also issued to close the establishment until further order.
